Foliage:Crowded, prickly foliage, broader at the base, 5-15 mm x 0.5-1.5 mm. Small leaf-like stipules at the base of leaves.
Flowers:Single creamy-yellow ball-shaped flowerheads on slender stalks to 15 mm long. Dark brown to black, slightly constricted pods 2-6 cm x 4-6 mm. April-September
General
Comments:

Low screen in shady spots. Frost resistant.

Pruning whilst young encourages a bushy habit. Provides good refuge for birds.
