| General Comments: | Medium to tall tree with dense canopy and interlacing fibrous bark to the small branches. Often lower branching. Some forms have weeping habit. It makes a handsome shade tree. Flowering can be massed. Koala's eat it. Butterflies like the nectar and their caterpillars eat the leaves. Birds like it for food and habitat. Likes to go in moist to drier well drained soils. Widespread in many sites to 1200 m. Light frost and snow. |
