Foliage:Small linear dark green leaves to 15mm long with blunt tips
Flowers:Masses of short cream brush-like flowers to 2cm long x more than 1cm wide. Small woody capsule at base. Flowers from October to November.

Forms a dense copse in moist to wet areas. Can be restricted in size and spread when planted in drier areas. Prolific flowerer.  Prune after flowering to keep plants from becoming straggly.

Erect, open to dense bushy shrub or small tree with grey to brown papery bark.  Trunks often take on interesting forms with age.  A very adaptable plant, useful as a dense thicket or screen.  Frost and lime tolerant.  Tolerates dryness once established.
